ADC Foaming Agent | Class 4 Dangerous Goods

  • Describe
  • Export requirements

Foaming agent is a chemical agent mainly used in industrial production to promote the foaming of materials, thereby improving the thermal insulation, sound insulation, elasticity and other characteristics of the material.

Application scope: Construction industry: used in the production of thermal insulation materials, sound insulation boards, lightweight concrete and so on.

Furniture manufacturing: used in the manufacture of foam furniture, mattresses, etc.

Packaging materials: used as cushioning material to protect goods from impact during transportation.

Automobile industry: used to produce lightweight automobile parts and improve fuel efficiency.

Performance Characteristics: High efficiency: It can produce a large amount of foam at a low dosage and improve production efficiency.

Environmental friendliness: It does not contain harmful chemical substances and meets international environmental protection standards.

Stability: It can maintain good performance under different environmental conditions.

Compatibility: It can be mixed with a variety of resins and materials without causing adverse reactions.

Usage method: According to the desired foaming effect, add the foaming agent into the resin or material according to the recommended proportion. Stir thoroughly to ensure that the blowing agent is evenly dispersed. Carry out the foaming reaction under appropriate temperature and pressure conditions.

Storage condition: Store in a cool and dry place, avoid direct sunlight and high temperature, keep sealed to prevent the volatilization of the ingredients.

Packing specification: A variety of packaging specifications are available, including small packages (e.g., 1 kg/barrel) and large packages (e.g., 200 kg/barrel), to meet the needs of different scale production.

Here are some specific safety procedures when exporting blowing agents by sea:

Dangerous goods classification: Blowing agent AC belongs to Dangerous Goods Class 4.1, UN3242, so there may be a risk of explosion or combustion under high temperature or mechanical friction.

Specialized Packaging: Specialized packaging that is explosion-proof and moisture-proof must be used, such as cardboard drums, boxes, or 25KG woven bags lined with plastic bags, to ensure that it will not be damaged or leaked during transportation.
Dangerous Goods Labeling: All shipments containing Blowing Agent AC must be posted with a clear dangerous goods label with UN3242 and a warning mark on the outer packaging.
Storage conditions: Blowing Agent AC should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sources of ignition and heat. Staff should wear appropriate protective equipment, such as dust masks and anti-static clothing, and the storage temperature should not exceed 35℃.
Isolated storage: Do not mix storage with oxidizers, acids and alkali chemicals to prevent dangerous reactions.
Compliance Documents: MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and Dangerous Package Certificate must be prepared, and the Dangerous Package Certificate includes Performance Sheet and Certificate of Use, the latter needs to be matched with IMI appraisal and Performance Sheet to apply to the local Commodity Inspection Bureau.
Booking and Transportation: Exporters need to contact the shipping company with the qualification of dangerous goods transportation for booking, and provide accurate cargo information, including MSDS, Dangerous Goods Certificate, TO and DG FORM.
Customs declaration information: Prepare a complete set of customs declaration information, including packing list, invoice, contract, customs declaration form, agent customs declaration power of attorney and declaration elements.
Container loading into port: book the cabin in advance according to the ship schedule, and complete the marine declaration of dangerous goods before the cut-off date, and control the time nodes of the cut-off date and manifest issuance.
Professional agent service: It is recommended to appoint a professional international freight forwarder for dangerous goods logistics to ensure compliance with international and domestic regulations.
